Free PARENTS magazine

I receive a ridiculous amount of magazines each month. There are a lot of free offers out there if you are looking. A few tips are when signing up for these offers is never give your credit card # for offers. Just sign up for complimentary, no strings attached offers and what I recommend is to sign up for a free email address just for freebies etc. because sometimes the company will send a lot of spam in the future.

PARENTS

*I can't remember what blog I saw this offer on but if anyone knows I would love to give credit. Thanks!

Gotta love freebies

Click here to get a coupon for a FREE Quizno's sub.

Free Redbox code for this Monday ONLY is S39XKT
I have recently used DVDONME and BREAKROOM for free movies too. If you haven't checked out redbox you just HAVE TO! I love it. You rent a movie from a vending machine.(if you aren't using a free code you can reserve the movie you want online) Go to redbox.com for locations near you. They charge you 1.00 a day for renting it and have lots of free codes so if you keep it for just 1 day it's free. I LOVE it!

Another source for freebies is Walmart.com. They have samples you can order and they always come quickly. It's fun to get something free in the mail once in awhile.

"Our California Adventure" days 2-3

At this pace it will take me a month to describe our trip. :) On Tuesday we got up really early again and drove the 6 miles to the Wonderful World of Disney. We were just ahead of the crowds again and the kids were able to run onto Space Mountain without waiting several times. We rode the rides in Tomorrowland and then literally ran to Frontierland. Well, in the meantime I had to change Zachy. I was going so fast I didn't realize until about an hour later that my camera was missing. I was so sick about it. Mark, to his credit, was really sweet. Brynn had her camera so I stole it but she wanted it most of the time so sadly, I have less pictures that I wanted. We were able to ride all of the rides we wanted to that day and then we got in place to wait for the Fantasmic show. Our little book told us the best place to stand. (on the bridge in New Orleans square)

It was a great show and then we took our exhausted little selves back to our hotel. I swear the kids enjoyed swimming in the pool more than anything. Mark and I also enjoyed soaking our sore feet. We sure moved fast around that park for two out of shape people.:)

Wednesday we went to Universal Studios. I didn't really have any expectations of this park but it was fun because I had never been there. That place was EMPTY! I think we got approached by every park employee because there was hardly anyone else there. Zachy enjoyed seeing Dora and Spongebob. Mark started off the day scaring the big kids to death by taking them through the House of Horrors, their version of a haunted house. Several teenage girls would only go through with Mark and the kids and Mark said they all moved in a bunch.Mark said he almost lost his shirt. lol Ryan is still having nightmares about Chucky. :)

This park was hard for Zachy and I was STILL motion sick from stupid Space Mountain the day before so Zachy played in the water park and Mark took the kids on bunches of rides. We all enjoyed the Shrek 4-D movie. I don't really like 4-D. It meant we were going to get sprayed with water at some point. My favorite part of the day was the 45 minute tour of the studios. That was fascinating to me. You ride around in a bus and it takes you through actual movie studios, through famous movie sets. We even got to see Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives. They were filming at the time but we didn't see ladies from the show.We took in a cool Waterworld show and then called it a day. That night we got room service by the pool while the kids were swimming. That was fun.

Up next- Sea World and our last day in Disney

We're BAAACCCKK! (Fabulous Ehnat vacation part 1)

We are finally home after a fabulous (and too short) 10 day vacation to Southern California. We had such a good time and made so many good memories. Bear with me, you may have to wade through a bunch of pictures.

Friday after school we took off and ended up in Provo UT where we stayed for the night. We enjoyed Training Table burgers (love the #16 Bleu Bacon Burger) and Krispy Kreme donuts. (didn't count calories this week obviously)We haven't stayed in a hotel for a few years so the kids were excited about our first hotel stay.

Saturday morning we took off for Las Vegas. We stopped at Kolob Canyons in Zions National Park on the way. I had never been to Vegas. and wanted to see it and Mark wanted to take in a seafood buffet. I can say that I wouldn't be sad if I never visited that town again. I have traveled around this country but I was still shocked by the openly pornagraphic nature of the Vegas strip. Call me a prude but I was disgusted and felt bad we had our kids with us. One funny thing is we ran into my cousin Halie as we were walking back to our hotel. I had heard she was in town for a hairstylist show but she didn't know we were there. The look on her face was priceless!

We hurried back to our hotel and Sunday morning we took off for CA. Zachary did surprisingly well for a 3 year old in a car for 13 hours. It helped that we had Nintendo DS's,a mini dvd player, an Ipod, and satellite radio. Sheesh, kids these days. :)What happened to car games? Honestly, Mark and I just didn't want to be whined to the whole trip. We got off on the wrong freeway in LA and ended up on the Malibu beach! We told the kids we weren't lost, we just wanted to show them where Hannah Montana lived. ;)

We finally got to our hotel. We stayed at the Radisson Buena Park. I loved it! We had a 2 room suite. The front room had a big screen tv, a couch bed, a table, and a kitchenette. The other room had another big tv and was a normal hotel room. I loved the ambience of the pool. I wish I had taken more and better pictures. The pool was surrounded by palm trees with white lights wrapped around the trunks. It was very tropical feeling. It's 2 degrees here in Idaho today and the first 3 days we were in CA it was about 75. Boo hoo.

Monday we got up super early. We had free hot breakfast every day in the hotel. That was awesome.(can you tell we don't travel often) We were the second car in line at the parking garage. We had a plan of attack for the day. I can't recommend The Unofficial guide to Disneyland highly enough. It is an independent guide to Disneyland and rates rides, times of year to visit, secret nooks and crannies of the park, and gives wonderful detailed daily plans to maximize your stay. It was right up Mark's alley. The first morning we ran right to Fantasyland and it was empty. The kids hopped on every ride. Zachary was scared of most everything but the teacups but the other kids were gorging themselves on all of the rides. We bought them autograph books and they had all the characters we saw sign them. We were so fortunate that day. We always seemed to keep ahead of the crowds. At 10 we went to California Adventure right when it opened. Ryan especially loved this park. The fast scary rides were just to his liking. While Mark took the kids on the fast rides, I took Zachy to the Playhouse Disney live show. This was the first time he seemed really into the whole vacation idea. He loved it! Ryan talked me into going on the California Screamin' ride and I still shiver with fear when I think about it. That is one fast ride!I think I was too scared to get motion sick. We had such a wonderful day. We maximized every opportunity we could. Mark walked so far he had several quarter sized blisters on his feet. My favorite rides at California Adventure (this park was new to all of us) were Soarin over CA, California Screamin, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the Toy Story interactive game, and Grizzly River Run. Fun, fun, fun!

Now that you are totally asleep I will post pictures(didn't take much time to edit them) and begin again soon with part 2. Bear with me, I really want to write the memories down while they are still fresh.
