One step forward and one step back

Zachy is the pickiest eater I have ever known. He used to eat anything and everything and then he got sick around a year old and must have made some connection with food and sickness. Since then, he will eat something out of each food group, just not many varieties.

This morning I tried to get him to eat a pear for a half hour. It ended with the pear falling to the floor and him shrieking. I wasn't happy. Then I made everyone a blackberry/strawberry/orange smoothie and he slurped it down. I might have to go the hidden fruits and veggies route. I want him to like things the way they are but I am really tempted to check out the Jessica Seinfeld book, Deceptively Delicious If you have had a picky eater, I am begging you to tell me what worked for you. Thankfully, Zachy's weight is good but I just want him to enjoy more things.

Kayla! Hey I was wondering where you've been! :) I've made a couple of the recipes from deceptively delicious. They are great. Brooklyn isn't picky... so I really don't have much advice sorry! Good Luck!
