Back from beautiful, frigid Wyo

I am here, still kicking, and ready to get serious about updating this blog...soon. :)

We returned from an intense and fun weekend in Wyoming for Mother's Day. For the first time in forever, I thoroughly enjoyed Mothers Day. The kids are getting older and really put thought into making it a day to remember. I love those nerds. They even made me a healthy breakfast with yogurt, low-fat bagels, and applesauce. They are so thoughtful. We traveled to Wyo Sunday evening and it was great to see my mom and sisters. They are three of the greatest moms I know! We got to visit with Zane Sunday night and that was most delightful!

I have much more to report when I get a little more caught up on life. When I am away for a few days, I really pay when I get back. Mark and I stocked up on lawn and home project materials at Lowes this weekend and I am itching to get the projects going. I think Spring is here although we were treated to snow and hail in SV. I am wrapping up selling my piece of property and I see my life being immensely less stressful when that is finished. We made good progress on that front yesterday.

A bit about the fish tank. Somehow Zachy tapped the fish tank wrong and it shattered! A wave of fish, glass shards, rocks, and especially water exploded into my kitchen, living room, and family room. I panicked and starting screaming. After I realized Zachy was unhurt, I got busy cleaning up and saving fish. :) One of the worst parts about it is that I had several boxes of Avon stuff in front of the fish tank. They would not have normally been there but I was working at the table putting Avon orders together. I even saved a few fish out of Avon boxes. Nasty, eh? It was a huge cleanup effort that took days to complete. My nice neighbor lent me her 10 gallon tank so the surviving fish are swimming happily on my counter away from Z's reach. :) Kate was the most traumatized. I think she actually went into shock. What a mess.

There are so many more things to report when I get a chance. I am not sure why I love to take on new projects so much. I just get doing well at the things I am doing and then I decide to take on something crazy. Like taking 16 Scouts to a bowling alley. Wowzers, that was a crazy idea, although pretty successful.

I am hopeful that I am getting a hold of the stress and anxiety I have been struggling with lately. Life is good, I just have to be controlling it instead of the other way around. :)

I have had a few more referrals from Revolution Money Exchange. Thanks, blog friends. I wish it told me who it was. I have actually RECEIVED $100 in signing up bonuses and referrals from this company. What a deal!

I am so excited about these shoes I ordered that I have been saving for. They are my first pair of Keen shoes. Anyone have any experience with this brand?

Kara,
I want you to tell me who you think the VP candidates will be - when you get a minute-all knowing political guru...
The fish tank sounds like a disaster, but glad you saved some of the poor, slimmy creatures!
